It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to PROFEX 2026, a flagship platform that brings together professionals, industry leaders, academia, government agencies, and emerging talents in advancing the nation’s professional ecosystem.

 

As the apex body representing 23 professional associations and over 120,000 professionals across Malaysia, Balai Ikhtisas Malaysia (BIM) remains committed to fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, professional excellence, innovation, and sustainable development. PROFEX serves as an important avenue to strengthen engagement among stakeholders while promoting knowledge-sharing, professional development, and future-ready solutions for our nation.

This year’s edition reflects our collective aspiration to empower professionals and inspire the next generation towards greater achievements in science, technology, engineering, healthcare, business, and various other professional fields. Through exhibitions, conferences, networking sessions, and educational initiatives, PROFEX 2026 aims to create meaningful impact and opportunities for all participants.

On behalf of the Organising Committee, it is my pleasure to welcome you to PROFEX 2026.

 

PROFEX 2026 is envisioned as a dynamic platform that connects professionals, industry players, academic institutions, government agencies, and students through meaningful engagement, knowledge exchange, and strategic collaboration. The event aims to highlight the important role of professionals in driving innovation, sustainability, economic growth, and national development.

 

This year’s programme features a diverse range of activities including exhibitions, conferences, industry forums, networking opportunities, and career-focused initiatives designed to benefit participants from various professional backgrounds. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr Salleh Mohd Nor

Born in 1940 in Negeri Sembilan, Salleh was a renowned Malaysian forester who retired as Director General of Forest Research Institute Malaysia in 1995. He became the first non-European and non-American President of International Union of Forest Research Organizations, served as Pro-Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, and led the Malaysian Nature Society for 30 years. He also visited Antarctica four times and is the oldest Malaysian to hike to Everest Base Camp.

Professor Dr. Wong Chin-Yoong
